Description of the job
Cassdian (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 6 months internship.
In classical PMR (Professional Mobile radiocommunications) systems, narrowband solutions (TETRA/TETRAPOL) are proposed to deliver speech and low bit rate data services on the field. Private Mobile Radio (PMR) networks try to evolve to broadband technologies in order to achieve higher bit rates suitable for new specific PMR applications based on video streaming and web browsing. Such evolutions are on-going and are based on the adaptation of the different PMR constraints to the existing wireless broadband solutions, etc.
The particularity of such broadband systems is to be optimized for point to point communication.
This internship will start on the 30th of June 2011 (is subject to a certain flexibility).
Tasks
Your main responsibility will include exploring different ways of management, in order to propose a group communication solution, considering the specific PMR constraints in term of service (Quality of Service, mission critical timing and availability of the resource, etc).
Your skills
You are in 5th year of engineering school or university and are specialized in telecommunications.
You have knowledge in:
– Telecom
– Signal processing
– Radio
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
English: Advanced level
French: Fluent / Negotiation level
